Corporate reporting

Ampol

Ampol (formerly Caltex) is one of Australia’s largest fuel and convenience retailers, serving millions of customers nationwide. For the 2025/26 Annual Report, the business was evolving its reporting structure, requiring a design system that signalled a clear departure from previous years while remaining accessible to a broad stakeholder audience.

The brief called for two key outcomes: a front cover that captured the breadth of the business, and a newly developed, externally facing supply chain map capable of communicating complex operational information in a clear and engaging way.

Powering connection

The solution

The reporting suite was built around the concept of “Powering connection”, drawing from the interlocking angled forms of the Ampol brandmark. This visual language created a flexible but cohesive system applied consistently across the reporting suite. The design approach deliberately reduced decorative elements in favour of clarity, hierarchy, and readability – introducing a more editorial aesthetic that supports complex information without overwhelming the reader.

A key feature of the suite was the development of an isometric supply chain illustration, designed as a hero asset. This transformed detailed operational data into a visually engaging and easily digestible format.
